Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine student preference between two types of classroom instruction in a music appreciation course. Students in four intact class sections experienced both traditional lecture-demonstration instruction and computer-based presentation instruction and then completed a survey that included questions about instructional model preference. There is evidence that a large majority of students in this study's population preferred instruction delivered via computer-based presentations.
