Abstract

This paper presents a tool to allow students to see visualizations of various levels of software interaction. Students in the initial steps of learning programming and algorithms need to integrate information from several points of view to understand the algorithm and the code. To aid the student's process of integration of concepts, we provide an integrated suite of visualizations of the program execution. The user has real time control over which visualizations are shown. The user also can go backwards in the run and see previous steps new combinations of output. These tools allow seeing the program steps from different perspectives.
