Abstract

With online instruction growing at a more rapid pace than traditional brick-and-mortar classroom instruction, the instructor or college professor who is considering making the switch to online delivery has many things to think about before making the leap. This paper offers faculty a wide array of theory-based techniques designed for teaching online and technology-enhanced courses. Intended for faculty who are new to online instruction, this paper explores a variety of tips and shortcuts for managing online classes and examines strategies for handling challenges that often accompany distance learning.
