Abstract

This paper describes two uniquely designed integrated STEM undergraduate and graduate programs developed with support from the National Science Foundation. The programs are designed and developed to prepare the STEM workforce. The paper will describe the conceptual framework for the programs, which were developed by a large group of scientists, educators, instructional designers, engineers and community stakeholders. In addition, it will explain the unique design features of the programs and their capacity for increasing the number of future STEM teachers prepared to teach integrated STEM curricula in their classrooms..
