Abstract
The Second International Handbook of Information Technology for Primary and Secondary Education (Voogt, Knezek, Christensen & Lai, 2018) synthesizes research on information technology in primary and secondary education from an international perspective. With a bird’s eye view several themes emerged from the Handbook, i.e. mobile learning, competencies and dispositions of teachers and learners, features of professional development for technology integration, flexible and personalized learning, learners and curriculum and ICT related policies. Handbook section editors will introduce the themes at the symposium and discussed with the audience in an interactive session with the aim to identify needs for future research in the field.
