Abstract

This article discusses the processes that occurred when the Library, Controller's Office, and Information Technology Department agreed to create an interface between the Library's Innovative Interfaces patron database and campus administrative software, Banner, using file transfer protocol, in an effort to streamline the Library's accounts receivable process. Procedures for the Library collections process changed for both the Library and campus Accounts Receivable Department. Outcomes were summarily positive, resulting in reduced paperwork for both departments, more timely payment of fines, and fewer patrons sent to collections. (Contains 1 table.)
