Abstract

In this paper a new mobile virtual environment, based on Web 2.0 technology, to disseminate e-learning lectures and seminars is presented. The high usability degree of the Smartphone and the high quality streaming media combined with the new web 2.0 techniques by the ENEA Usability Laboratory have been experimented. In this context a new advanced web 3D interface between teacher and students contextually for lectures and seminars has been implemented. The Web 3D mobile e-learning system has been studied in terms of functionality, performances and accessibility to determine the effectiveness and satisfaction of the educational proposal. The main purpose of the project is to redefine a communication method based on a web 3d interface based on the exiting standards and technologies. The system is integrated with the ENEA Matrix e-learning platform to give a new portability at the project with no limitation in a mobile scenario.
